While reviewing and editing your note, you now have the power to re-write SOAP sections of your notes in just a single click. The AI Writing Assistant is a first iteration to having your Scribenote notes tailor-made to the way you want them. See how to utilize it below!

How to enable the AI Writing Assistant:
Step 1: Click the ✨magic✨ button next to the section title.
Click the purple and yellow sparkle (✨) button next to the title of the section you'd like to edit. You'll see a dropdown menu appear with a few options for you to choose from.
Step 2: Select an option.
Here's what you can customize at the moment. We'll be adding more formatting options over time! One thing that's pretty neat is that you can stack edits you make. E.g. if you want your note to be in point-form AND in German, you can make that happen!

Choose to change from the default format to:
Point. Creates a bullet form list in your section of the note.
Paragraph. Uses complete sentences in your section of the note.
Subheadings. Notes will become organized by subheadings based on the content of what you said in your appointment (not available for Client Summaries or Assessments).
Terminology

Change the tone that your note will be written in:
Medical. Your SOAP section will be written out using more formal wording and medical terminology.
Layman's. Your SOAP section will be written in more layman's terms, for easier readability by clients.
Abbreviations
Abbreviations
No matter what you say during your exam or appointment, you can:
Include Medical Abbreviations. Have your notes use acronyms and short forms for veterinary terminology.
Include Full Words. The opposite of having your SOAP section use abbreviations, this setting will write out full words for any abbreviations it finds.

Want your note written in another language? Select from one of these options:
English. Hello, how are you?
French. Salut, comment vas-tu aujourd'hui ?
Spanish. Hola, ¿cómo estás hoy?
Portuguese. Olá, como você está hoje?
German. Hallo, wie geht es dir heute?

Only show abnormals. Choose to show just the abnormal findings (available in the Objective section only)!
Disclaimer: Numerical values will always be included, we want to let the doctors be the judge of that!
Step 3: Accept or reject the AI edits.
After seeing the AI work its magic right before your eyes, you'll be able to ✅ accept or ❌ reject the changes to your note! You'll see the old version of the section on the right side, and the new version on the left.
Optional: Note feedback.
If you want to provide feedback on the output (we recommend that you do!), please do so by using the 👍 thumbs up and 👎 thumbs down icons on the bottom right of each SOAP section after selecting your format options.
If you find a technical issue or bug, such as your edits not generating (ie. stuck on the loading spinner), please report that to our Customer Delight Team via the in-app support chat. 🪲🐛
