Use Scribe Like Me To Customize Your templates!

Updated this week

Adaptive Templates make note-taking easier by using AI to format your medical records just the way you like. You can either upload a blank note as a template or create your own from scratch. Below is a simple step-by-step guide to help you get started!

Step 1 - Select ‘Adaptive Templates’ under your account.

Click your name in the top right corner of your web app dashboard. From the dropdown menu, select ‘Adaptive Templates’.

Step 2 - Click '+ New Adaptive Template'

To create a new template, click '+ New Adaptive Template'.

Step 3 - Name your Template and Write a Brief Description.

In the name box, title your Template with a name. Choose a name that will make it easily identifiable for you.

In the description box, type a brief description of your template for you to easily identify.

Step 4 - Choose SOAP/Freeform or Automatic/From Scratch:

a) SOAP or Freeform note format:

The SOAP note is a structured format, similar to our Scribenote Medical Record template, broken down into Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan (SOAP) sections that you can then customize to your preference. The Freeform note is an unstructured format with a single box of text. You can create your own customization using this format.

Need inspiration for your note? Select from one of the options listed below, and have your note populated with our preset options.

You can then edit this preset by clicking in the text box. Add or remove lines here.

b) Choose to upload an existing template (Automatic) or start from scratch and manually create your template.

Select 'Automatic' to upload/drag a PDF file with an existing template and let us do it for you!

Or

Select 'From Scratch' if you would like to manually type in your template.

Note: If your template is a table, Scribenote will not be able to replicate an exact copy of the format, information from the template will still be captured.

Step 5 - Set your Custom Defaults

To set your Custom Defaults simply type them in your template.

Step 6 - Fill out your Preferences!

This gives you control over customizing the style of your notes! For more information on writing preferences, check out our article here:
