With the Pay It Furward: Referral Pilot Program you can invite your friends to Scribenote!
When a DVM from a different clinic subscribes to Scribenote Pro using the referral link of an existing Scribenote Pro customer, both the referrer and the referred DVM receive $200 USD in redeemable credits. These credits can be used to help cover the cost of care for a patient in need.
This Referral Pilot Program will run from January 27, 2026 to March 8, 2026.

To receive referral credits, all of the following conditions must be met:
The referred DVM must be new to Scribenote, from a different clinic than your own and create their account using the referral link.
The referred DVM must upgrade to Scribenote Pro. Joining an existing Scribenote Pro team does not count as upgrading to Pro and is not eligible for referral credits.
The upgrade to Scribenote Pro must occur during the referral program period, from January 27, 2026 to March 8, 2026.

If you are an existing Scribenote Pro customer, you can find your unique referral link by going to Account Settings, in the Pay it Furward Program section. From there, you can copy the link and share it with your DVM friends.
Alternatively you can click the Refer a Friend button at the top of your dashboard to copy your link and share it with your DVM friends.
When a new user clicks on your referral link, they are taken to the Scribenote sign up page with the referral code automatically applied.
Once the referred DVM upgrades to Scribenote Pro, the referral is completed.
After the referred DVM upgrades to Scribenote Pro, both you and the referred DVM will receive $200 USD in redeemable credits. These credits will appear in your Referral Dashboard within Account Settings.

When you click on a referral link shared by a Scribenote Pro customer, you will be taken to the Scribenote sign up page with the referral code already applied.
To complete the referral, you must finish creating your account and upgrade to Scribenote Pro. Once your upgrade is complete, both you and the referring DVM will receive $200 USD in redeemable credits.

Go to Account Settings and scroll to the Pay It Furward Program.
Enter the dollar amount you wish to redeem in the Redeem for Patient Care section.
A Scribenote administrator will review and approve your request within 24 hours.
Once approved, a prepaid Visa card will be sent to the email associated with your Scribenote account.
You may then activate the card and use it to help offset a patient’s bill.

Why don’t I see a Referral section in my Account Settings?
The Referral section is only available to Scribenote Pro customers.
If you are on a free trial or using Scribenote Free, the Referral section will not appear in Account Settings. Once you upgrade to Scribenote Pro, the Referral section will become available and you will be able to access your referral link and credits.

Once your referred DVM subscribes to Scribenote Pro Tier and their first subscription payment is successfully processed, credits will appear in your Account Settings under the Pay It Furward Program.
Can I use more than one referral credit on one patient?
Can I use more than one referral credit on one patient?
Yes! You can redeem your referral credits in different denominations and use them all for one patient, or spread them out to help multiple patients in need.
How long do I have to use the credits?
How long do I have to use the credits?
Referral credits must be redeemed within 12 months after they’re earned. Once redeemed, credits must be used within the timeframe set by the issuer (currently 6 months).
