Please note that recording in other languages will generate the transcript in that language but the final SOAP output will be in English for the time being!
Scribenote is primarily available in English. Why? Here are a few reasons:
Technical limitations. Yes, we know translation technology exists, but it isn't good enough for our standards yet. The tech we use to transcribe notes is primarily English-based. Other languages are available, but they have a much higher WER (word-error-rate) meaning accuracy of Scribenote's output would be lower than it is in English.
English speaking team. We are a small team based out of Kitchener-Waterloo in Canada. 🇨🇦 All our veterinary advisors and staff are primarily English speaking, so we wouldn't be able to tell if a note in another language is accurate or not.
Both these reasons would mean that you'd have to spend more time correcting your note than you should have to... which could take more time than writing it yourself. It's not ideal, and not the product experience we want to offer to our customers!
In time, with more AI advancements, we hope to have Scribenote available in your language! 🌎
