Can I combine the two recordings into one note?

Learn how to merge two recordings and combine them into a single note.

Updated over a week ago

If you accidentally recorded one appointment in two separate notes, you can combine the audio files into a single note. Here's how:

1. Download the second recording

  • Open the note that contains the second recording.

  • Click the Download Audio button at the end of the audio bar.

    • If your audio file downloads in a .webdm format, you can simply rename the file and change the extension to .wav or .mp3.

2. Upload it to the original note

  • Open the original note where you want both recordings combined.

  • Click the Add button at the end of the audio bar.

  • Choose Upload Audio Files and select the file you just downloaded.

    • Please ensure that the file is in .wav or .mp3 format.

Once uploaded, the second recording will appear in the original note and be processed as part of the same transcription. You can upload multiple recordings this way, and Scribenote will stitch them into a single note output automatically.
