In order to start using your clinics number with Scribephone, you’ll need to complete a verification step first. This can be done on the web version of Scribenote at app.scribenote.com in your browser, or on the mobile app.
Web App Verification

On your Dashboard, look for the toggle button above the record button. It has a microphone on the left and a phone on the right.
Click the toggle to switch to Scribephone mode. The button will turn green when active.
Click the green call button.
Click the settings button (gear icon).
Select Add Phone Number and enter the number you’d like to verify.
Choose whether to share this number with a team, or select Don’t share if you want to keep it private.
You’ll receive a call at the number you entered. This call is used to confirm that the number belongs to you.
Follow the on-screen instructions, and when prompted, enter the verification code displayed on your screen to complete the process.
Verifying with an Automated Answering System or Call Tree
If your clinic uses an automated phone system or call tree, please follow the additional steps outlined below.
⚠︎ Note: The setup process may take some time. Waiting for prompts to play and calculating the correct wait value to enter is key to successful verification. Please follow the steps carefully and allow the process to complete for the best results.
Click on the My phone number has an extension code button.
Build your extension sequence. To complete this step, you’ll need to know the exact sequence of steps and wait times required to reach your desired extension. We recommend calling your own clinic number to confirm the precise process before proceeding.
To build the correct sequence, add a Press or Wait step. You’ll see a live preview of the complete sequence as you go.
Once your extension is configured, you can proceed with the verification call by entering your number and clicking Verify.

Click the green Call button at the bottom of the screen.
Click the Settings gear icon or the Calling From button.
Select Add phone number at the bottom of the screen.
Enter the phone number you want to verify in the Phone number field.
Choose the team you want to share the number with, or select Don’t share.
Click the purple Verify button.
You’ll receive a call at the number you entered. This call is used to confirm that the number belongs to you.
Follow the on-screen instructions, and when prompted, enter the verification code displayed in the app to complete the process.
