What is Widget Mode?

Widget Mode is an integration option that lets you view and transfer notes in a floating window with your PIMS.

Updated over a week ago

Widget Mode is a Scribenote Pro feature that minimizes Scribenote into a floating pop-up window that stays on top of other programs, allowing you to work seamlessly alongside your PIMS or medical record software. From this window, you can easily view your notes and transfer them by simply dragging and dropping or copying and pasting, keeping your workflow smooth and efficient.

โš ๏ธ Widget Mode will only work using Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge on desktop or laptop computers. It will not work on mobile devices (i.e. iPads or tablets).

How to Use Widget Mode

  1. Open Widget Mode (found above the Inbox). A draggable pop-up will appear. Be sure to allow pop-ups in your browser for Widget Mode to open correctly.

  2. Transfer Note Content. Click the note you would like to move to your PIMS or record software to open it, and then transfer it over via one of two ways:

    • Draggy-Droppy. Click and hold the button, then drag to where you want the contents of the field to go.

    • Click-to-Copy. Click the button, then paste where you want the contents of the field to go using Ctrl + V or right-clicking.

  3. Mark as Exported. When you're done with exporting the note, click Mark as Exported to indicate it has been completed. (The note will now appear in the Exported tab in your expanded Inbox on the web app).

  4. Close the widget. When you're done, you can click the X in the top-right corner.
